A 19-year-old woman reported to authorities that she was the victim of an attempted sexual assault at a company party in Santo Antônio do Leverger, approximately 30 km from Cuiabá, Brazil. The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday when the young woman ventured into a room to rest and was unexpectedly confronted by an assailant trying to undress her. Following the attack, she managed to escape and seek help at a local hospital.

According to the Military Police, medical staff contacted them after the victim arrived at the Municipal Hospital reporting the sexual violence she had endured. The young woman indicated that she defended herself against her attacker by kicking and pushing him away, which enabled her to leave the room and call for assistance. However, she was unable to identify the person who assaulted her, which presents a significant challenge for the investigation that follows.
