On the last day of the Olympic Games, Latvian athletes compete in bobsleigh and cross-country skiing

Latvian athletes Jēkabs Kalenda and Patrīcija Eiduka are set to compete in bobsleigh and cross-country skiing events on the final day of the Milan-Cortina Olympics.

On the final day of the Milan and Cortina Olympic Games, Latvian bobsleigh pilot Jēkabs Kalenda's four-man crew will participate in their last two runs, while cross-country skier Patrīcija Eiduka will compete in the 50-kilometer classical race. The bobsleigh events in Cortina d'Ampezzo will take place at 11 AM and 1 PM Latvian time. Kalenda, along with his pushers Lauri Kaufman, Mairis Kļava, and Matīss Miknis, currently sits in 11th place after two runs.

Simultaneously, at 1 PM in Val di Fiemme, Eiduka will start her race, having previously completed this distance in the World Cup twice and achieving a higher position in freestyle than in classical (9th and 29th respectively). Ahead of the closing ceremony scheduled for 9:30 PM, the climax of the Olympic Games will occur at 3:10 PM with the men's hockey tournament final featuring Canada versus the USA. Earlier in the day, finals in women's freestyle skiing and curling will take place.
