Despite being taken to a healthcare facility on February 20 after worsening conditions, Kaylanne could not recover from her injuries and passed away.

Friends of Kaylanne revealed that she had ended her relationship with Albuquerque on February 13, just days prior to the violent incident. During the assault, he was reported to have struck her multiple times, kicked her in the face, and inflicted injuries to her arms, chest, and neck. Disturbingly, the details of the abuse extended beyond physical harm; the attacker also destroyed her mobile phone and ripped her clothes, leaving her exposed in public, which not only constituted physical violence but also a severe violation of her dignity.
