In Surendranagar district of Gujarat, police have successfully uncovered an organized gang involved in a honey trap scheme aimed at extorting money through blackmail. The victims in this case were builders from Ahmedabad, who were lured through social media by a woman pretending to be friendly. The gang managed to extract an enormous sum of 10 million rupees from the builder after falsely accusing him of misconduct during a set-up encounter.

As the investigation unfolded, police detailed how the woman, identified as Bhavna, contacted the builder and invited him to meet at a flat near Upasana Circle. Once he arrived, the situation quickly escalated as she stripped him and four men entered the room, accusing him of inappropriate behavior. This aggressive tactic culminated in the physical assault of the builder, who was threatened at gunpoint, compelling him to part with a substantial amount of money.

Thanks to prompt action by the police, within just two days, four members of the gang were arrested, with two additional members still at large. This incident not only highlights the serious issue of honey traps used for extortion in the country but also emphasizes the importance of quick police intervention in such cases, which can prevent further victims from falling prey to organized crime.
