In the Novo Horizonte neighborhood of Macapá, Brazil, a 37-year-old man was tragically shot and killed on the evening of Friday, the 20th. Reports indicate that the shooting occurred on Avenida Francisco Alves Corrêa, right in front of a local square. Witnesses noted that the gunfire struck the victim in the head and torso, leading to his immediate death at the scene. The suspects were seen fleeing in a red car, and as of now, law enforcement has not reported any arrests.

The incident was attended by the 2nd Battalion of the Military Police, which promptly conducted searches in the vicinity following the shooting. Despite their efforts, there have been no leads on the suspects’ whereabouts yet. The victim was reportedly well-known in the area, frequently participating in local soccer matches, which may indicate his significant presence in the community.

Additionally, the Amapá Scientific Police (PCA) conducted a forensic examination of the crime scene and managed the removal of the body.
