TRE-AM offers home service for biometrics in Manaus; see how to request
The Regional Electoral Court of Amazonas (TRE-AM) is providing home service for residents of Manaus with mobility issues who need to complete biometric registration.
The Regional Electoral Court of Amazonas (TRE-AM) has launched a home service initiative aimed at assisting voters in Manaus who are unable to visit electoral offices due to health issues or mobility challenges. This service is particularly focused on carrying out the mandatory biometric registration, which is essential for participating in future elections. As of 2025, the TRE-AM has conducted 63 home visits in the capital to cater to these specific needs.
This home service is specifically available for eligible voters who meet certain criteria, including individuals aged 80 or older, those with severe physical or mental disabilities, serious chronic illnesses, severe autism, or other conditions that significantly limit mobility. The TRE-AM aims to ensure that all eligible voters can exercise their civic duties despite facing physical barriers, highlighting a commitment to inclusivity within the electoral process.
Interested voters can request the home service via the TRE-AM website by selecting the "Home Service" option and completing the required forms. This initiative not only fosters greater participation in the electoral process but also exemplifies a proactive approach by the electoral authorities to accommodate the needs of vulnerable populations in the community.
