Brazilian quartet achieves 20th best time in bobsled

The Brazilian bobsled team finished 20th in their event at the Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina.

In their last event at the Winter Olympics held in Milan-Cortina, the Brazilian bobsled team, comprising four members, ranked 20th in the '4-man' category. Led by experienced pilot Edson Bindilatti, aged 46, the team completed two runs on the icy concrete track at the Sliding Centre in Cortina d’Ampezzo with a combined time of 1 minute and 50.46 seconds. This performance puts Brazil in a tie with the Liechtenstein team. The Brazilian team also includes Davidson de Souza, Rafael da Silva, and Luis Bacca, and they will continue their competitions on Sunday, February 22, starting at 6 AM (Brasília time). After the third run, the top 20 teams will advance to the fourth and final run, deemed the final heat, beginning at 8:15 AM. The fastest three times from Saturday were posted by teams from Germany, with the leading team achieving a time of 1 minute and 48.61 seconds. Previously, in a two-man bobsled event on February 16, the Brazilian team finished in 24th place. Edson Bindilatti has been a pivotal figure in Brazilian bobsledding, showcasing remarkable dedication as they compete against top international teams at these prestigious Winter Olympic Games.
