Three men are arrested for involvement in triple homicide in Boa Vista
Three men were arrested in Boa Vista, Brazil, on suspicion of being involved in a triple homicide that occurred in February.
On February 17, a tragic triple homicide took place in the Asa Branca neighborhood of Boa Vista, where three Venezuelan men were shot. The victims were identified as Pedro Josué Fernandez Riveiro, aged 27, Freddy José Portillo Pérez, aged 26, and Edwin Leonel Barreto Jimenez, aged 27. The incident occurred at noon when four suspects arrived on motorcycles and opened fire, leading to the immediate deaths of Pedro and Freddy, while Edwin succumbed to injuries later at the hospital.
The police conducted an operation and arrested three suspects on March 20, aged 27, 26, and 25, in the nearby Jóquei Clube neighborhood. Some of the suspects attempted to escape by jumping over fences of nearby residences but were promptly apprehended. In the course of the arrests, police also confiscated firearms that were potentially linked to the crime, highlighting the ongoing violence associated with gun use in the region.
