In an operation conducted by the Civil Police, three men were arrested in Cravolândia, Bahia, on suspicion of being involved in a homicide that occurred earlier this year. The arrests were made during Operation Serenus, and the suspects, aged 22, 33, and 52, are believed to be connected to the murder of Fernando José da Silva dos Santos, which took place on February 1 in an area known as 'Esgotão.' During the operation, law enforcement officials executed search warrants at properties linked to the suspects, leading to the discovery of a 9mm pistol with its serial number removed and 19 rounds of ammunition. One of the suspects was arrested in possession of the firearm, highlighting the ongoing issue of illegal firearms in connection with violent crime. Additionally, authorities also seized a motorcycle that showed signs of tampering, further indicating a potential link to criminal activities in the area.
