More than 1.9 million euros donated to the 'Radarom' initiative
Over 1.9 million euros has been raised for the 'Radarom' initiative, aimed at supporting Ukraine's defense against Russian invasion.
According to the latest data, the amount raised for the 'Radarom' initiative totals 1,917,309 euros. This fundraising campaign, now in its fourth iteration, is focused on collecting donations for the defense of Ukraine, specifically to fund robotics teams that assist in logistics and evacuating the wounded from the most dangerous areas. The initiative is set to run until February 24, commemorating the fourth anniversary of Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine.
In the previous round of the fundraising campaign held last year, Lithuanian citizens and businesses collectively donated 5.73 million euros, which was used to purchase urgently needed drones and anti-drone systems for Ukraine. Over the course of three fundraising efforts, the total donations have amounted to 22.8 million euros, helping to acquire 17 radar systems, 69 anti-drone devices, four specialized vehicles for mobile radars, and 1,141 safety gear kits for soldiers.
As a reminder, Russia's extensive invasion of Ukraine began in February 2022, highlighting the ongoing need for military support from allied nations. The emphasis on technological support, such as radar and drone systems, reflects the evolving nature of warfare and the critical role of innovative solutions in modern military conflicts.
