Parliament of the Future: 30 students from Piauí experience life in the Legislature
Thirty students from Piauí will experience the workings of the legislative process through the 'Parliament of the Future' initiative.
Thirty students from the state education system of Piauí have been elected to participate in the second edition of the 'Parliament of the Future.' This project, launched by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Piauí in collaboration with the State Department of Education and the Regional Electoral Court of Piauí, aims to provide students with a hands-on experience of parliamentary life. Starting on Sunday, February 22, the students will embark on a journey that includes an immersive schedule meant to simulate the routines and functions of the state legislature.
The experience begins with an opening reception at the Blue Tree Towers Rio Poty, where the future parliamentarians will receive an overview of the program's complete agenda. Additional training sessions will be provided, focusing on public speaking and behavior within the legislative context to prepare the students for their roles as young legislators.
Between February 23 and 25, participants will engage in a series of activities designed to simulate parliamentary procedures, thereby gaining practical insight into the legislative process. This initiative not only enhances civic education among students but also encourages them to actively participate in their democratic process, fostering a new generation of informed and engaged citizens in the state of Piauí.
