Wale Edun, Nigeria's Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, revealed during a press conference in Abuja that a forensic audit of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) is underway. This audit is part of the government's efforts to carefully assess oil revenue deductions and improve the financial remittances to the Federation Account. The initiative stems from a directive given in a recent Federation Account Allocation Committee meeting.
