Spa occupancy during the school break is equal to last year
Estonia's spa occupancy rates during the upcoming school break are comparable to those of the previous year, with significant interest from locals.
Spa managers in Pärnu, Estonia, have reported strong interest in spa vacations for the upcoming school break, indicating that many bookings have been made. However, they also note that there are still available rooms. Overall, the occupancy rates for this year are either the same or slightly higher than those of last year. According to Indrek Ilves, the manager of Wasa Resort spa hotel, the demand is quite good, with many bookings, but there are still some vacancies.
Furthermore, while the current occupancy rate stands at 80%, which is relatively good, it has not reached the same level of popularity as during the previous December and early January periods. Kairi Lusik, the manager of Viiking spa hotel, emphasized that while occupancy is on par with last February, daily availability for guests still remains, indicating that the school break, while busy, has not completely filled the spas.
Overall, the interest of local families in spa getaways for the school break suggests a continued trend in domestic tourism. The competitive rates and availability of accommodations might make the Pärnu region appealing for families looking for a relaxing time, especially considering that spa tourism tends to peak during holiday periods and local school breaks.
