ST2054 near Sulzemoos: Two drivers injured in accident
Two drivers sustained minor injuries in a collision on the ST2054 road near Sulzemoos.
A traffic accident occurred on Thursday morning on the ST2054 road near Sulzemoos, resulting in two lightly injured drivers and significant property damage. The incident involved a 27-year-old driver who, while attempting to turn left onto the A8 highway towards Munich, failed to see an oncoming vehicle, driven by a 31-year-old, who had the right of way and was traveling in the opposite direction.
The collision took place around 6 AM when the 27-year-old driver, heading from Sulzemoos towards Einsbach, misjudged the situation, leading to a direct impact with the other vehicle. Emergency services responded promptly, transporting both drivers to the hospital for their minor injuries. The cars involved in the accident were rendered undriveable and were subsequently towed away from the scene.
In addition to the injuries, police estimate the total property damage from the crash to be around 30,000 euros. This incident highlights the importance of road safety and awareness at intersections, particularly when turning onto busy routes like the A8.
