A flatbed truck, known as a carreta-cegonha, overturned on the BR-101 highway in Pedro Canário, located in the North of Espírito Santo, on Thursday morning, injuring the driver who sustained minor injuries. The incident led to a significant disruption on the highway, as the truck blocked one lane of a section that is not dual-carriageway, in addition to the cargo spilling onto the road. Emergency services responded promptly to the scene, attending to the injured driver and managing traffic flow.

The Federal Highway Police reported that the accident occurred at kilometer 8 of the highway heading towards Vitória, and the response included the establishment of a 'pare e siga' traffic system, allowing vehicles to alternate in movement while the cargo was unloaded and the overturned vehicle was righted.
