Unifap opens 46 vacancies in undergraduate courses for people over 60 in Amapá

Unifap is offering 46 vacancies in undergraduate courses for individuals aged over 60, aiming to fill underutilized slots in programs with low demand.

Unifap, the Federal University of Amapá, has announced an initiative to fill 46 vacancies in undergraduate courses specifically for applicants aged 60 and above. This process, known as PS Unifap 60+, targets courses that have seen limited interest in the regular entrance exam. Registrations for this selection process are being conducted online and are open until February 25.

The selection will feature an eliminatory and classificatory Portuguese language writing exam, which will evaluate candidates' proficiency in formal language, coherence, cohesion, and adherence to textual genre. The types of texts that candidates might produce include argumentative letters, opinion articles, memoirs, short stories, or chronicles. The exam is scheduled for March 6 at the Marco Zero campus in the southern zone of Macapá, Brazil.

In line with inclusive education policies, the announcement also states that a specific number of vacancies will be reserved for graduates of public schools, low-income candidates, and individuals from racial and ethnic minority groups, including black, brown, indigenous, quilombola populations and those with disabilities. Additional measures for document verification and biopsychosocial assessments may be conducted, ensuring the process remains equitable for all applicants requiring specialized assistance during the evaluation.
