Unifap opens selection process with graduation vacancies for people aged 60 and over; EDITAL
Unifap announces a selection process for graduation vacancies specifically for individuals aged 60 and over, targeting unused spots from the regular selection process.
The Federal University of Amapá (Unifap) has initiated a selection process aimed at individuals aged 60 years and above who wish to enroll in undergraduate courses. This new initiative seeks to fill vacant spots that remained unfilled during the regular selection process, reflecting a commendable effort to promote educational inclusivity for older adults. The university is committed to providing these individuals an opportunity for academic advancement and lifelong learning.
Enrollment for the selection process is free and can be completed online, starting from February 16 until February 25, via the website of the Department of Selection Processes and Competitions (Depsec). An entrance exam is scheduled for March 6 at the Marco Zero campus in Macapá, ensuring a structured evaluation of applicants. The program will allow for up to 46 vacancies across different educational tracks, including teaching credentials, bachelor's degrees, and technological degrees in the campuses located in Macapá and Santana.
The selection process will assess candidates through a Portuguese language essay, which is both eliminatory and classified. This assessment will evaluate candidates' mastery of formal language, coherence, cohesion, and argumentation. By implementing such measures, Unifap not only encourages the participation of the elderly in higher education but also enhances the academic environment with diverse perspectives stemming from mature students. This initiative highlights the importance of lifelong education and the university's role in fostering an inclusive academic community.
