More and more Poles are traveling to the Czech Republic. They have just risen to second place

In 2025, the number of Polish tourists visiting the Czech Republic reached over 939.9 million, making Poland the second-largest market for Czech tourism, following Germany.

The Czech Republic experienced a remarkable year in tourism, as reported by the Czech Touristic Office, CzechTourism. In 2025, nearly 23.6 million guests enjoyed stays in Czech accommodation, booking a total of 59.1 million nights, an increase of almost two million from the previous year. This growth in tourist activity has been noted among both domestic and international travelers, indicating a healthy tourism sector.

A significant contributor to this growth is the influx of Polish tourists, with their numbers soaring to over 939.9 million in 2025, reflecting an 11.9 percent rise compared to the previous year. This surge has allowed Poland to secure the second position among foreign markets for Czech tourism for the first time in history, surpassing Slovakia. The increase in Polish visitors is noteworthy, especially when comparing the figures from 2012 when Poland ranked sixth, highlighting a substantial growth of 122 percent over the years, aside from the spikes observed from Russia.

The rise in overnight stays has been even more pronounced, showcasing that Polish tourists are not only visiting but also spending more time in the Czech Republic. The growing trend of Poland as a key tourism market is significant for both countries' economies and indicates a flourishing relationship, emphasising the importance of cross-border tourism in Central Europe.
