Heat will increase, temperature will rise... Signs of pre-monsoon due to weather change

Weather specialists predict an increase in heat across northern India, indicating the early arrival of pre-monsoon conditions, with temperatures rising significantly in various states.

In northern India, temperatures are rising rapidly, with many areas experiencing daytime highs of 28-30 degrees Celsius. Meteorologists suggest that this increase in temperature signals the early onset of pre-monsoon conditions, commonly associated with heat and the possibility of thunderstorms before the arrival of the monsoon season. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), temperatures in northwest India are expected to gradually rise by 3-4 degrees.

States such as Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar are recording daytime temperatures 3-5 degrees above normal levels. Specifically in Delhi, the maximum temperature has reached 27-29 degrees Celsius recently, whereas it typically averages around 22-25 degrees in February. This unusual heat indicates a shift in weather patterns that may lead to early pre-monsoon thunderstorms and rain.

The recent weather changes have been influenced by western disturbances, which brought snowfall in the mountains and light rain in the plains, providing some temporary relief from heat. However, as this disturbance weakens, clearer skies and increased sunlight are expected, leading to further temperature rises. This pattern of weather change not only impacts the immediate comfort levels but also has implications for agricultural practices and water resource management in the region.
