Criminals invade farm and steal 30 heads of cattle in Porto Feliz

Thirty heads of cattle were stolen from a rural property in Porto Feliz, Brazil, which is currently under investigation by the police.

A rural property in Porto Feliz, São Paulo, experienced a significant theft when thirty heads of cattle were stolen during the early hours of Thursday, September 19. The site is located near the Presidente Castello Branco Highway (SP-280), and the local Civil Police are actively investigating the crime. According to the police report filed by the rural producer who owns the property, the criminals managed to intrude and transported the stolen cattle in a truck. As of now, only one bull from the thirty stolen animals has been recovered by the owners.

One of the site’s owners expressed deep sorrow over the incident, mentioning that her family has lived in the area for generations and that this is the first crime of this nature they have faced. The emotional impact of the theft is evident, as it not only represents a significant financial loss but also a violation of their longtime attachment to the land and their livestock.

As of the time of the report's publication, no suspects had been arrested. This incident highlights ongoing issues related to rural crime in Brazil, raising concerns about the safety and security of rural properties. The investigation into this theft may also lead to broader discussions on the need for enhanced protections for farmers and their livestock against such criminal activities.
