Councilman Vinícius Aith leaves the secretariat and returns to the Sorocaba Chamber; alternate who was in his place is appointed in the city hall
Councilman Vinícius Aith has returned to the Sorocaba Municipal Chamber following his departure from the Secretariat of Inclusion and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Vinícius Aith, a councilman from the Republicanos party, has officially returned to the Sorocaba Municipal Chamber after stepping down from his position as the head of the Secretariat of Inclusion and Autism Spectrum Disorder. His departure was formalized on Wednesday, October 18, through a decree signed by the mayor, Fernando Martins, and published in the municipal newspaper. Aith had been serving in the secretariat since January 2025 but requested to return to his legislative duties, participating in the chamber's session the following day.
With Aith's return, his alternate, Rafael Militão, has been appointed as the chief of staff for the Sports and Quality of Life Secretariat. This reshuffling is part of a broader administrative reform within the city government, which has been making various changes to executive positions. Alongside Aith's reassignment, João Pedro Arruda Fraletti Miguel, the current health secretary, has been appointed to take over Aith's previous role, thereby combining both responsibilities without receiving an additional salary.
These administrative changes signify the city's efforts to streamline governance and possibly respond to evolving community needs, especially in relation to inclusion and public health. The personnel adjustments also reflect ongoing political dynamics within Sorocaba, impacting local governance strategies and the management of public resources.
