Meteorologists: Weather will become "dynamic" in the coming days
Latvia is expected to experience a warming trend with dynamic weather conditions, including significant temperature increases and precipitation, as forecasted by the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
The Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre (LVÄ¢MC) has forecasted a significant change in weather conditions for the coming week, with a warming trend expected across Latvia. After experiencing extremely cold temperatures, plunging below -30 degrees Celsius in some southern regions, warmer air is set to flow into the country, resulting in a noticeable increase in temperatures.
In the initial part of the week, eastern parts of Latvia may still experience very cold temperatures, dropping to between -10 and -14 degrees Celsius. However, as the week progresses, particularly towards the end, a transition to milder conditions is anticipated nationwide, leading to a melting of snow. Meteorologists have indicated that the upcoming weather will be "dynamic," with varying precipitation expected; initially in the form of snow, which will later shift to sleet and rain as the temperatures rise.
By Friday, overcast skies will be prevalent, with brief periods of sunshine. There may be light snow at night in some areas, but generally, significant precipitation is not expected during the day. Nighttime temperatures will range between -9 and -14 degrees Celsius, although coastal areas will be warmer. As the region adjusts to these dynamic shifts, the weather conditions will play a crucial role in agricultural practices and daily life in Latvia, particularly as the country moves from harsh winter conditions into a more temperate climate.
