EasyJet offering free interview outfits to unemployed Brits in huge move
EasyJet is providing free interview outfits made from repurposed crew uniforms to help unemployed individuals in the UK secure jobs.
In a response to the rising unemployment rate in the UK, budget airline EasyJet has initiated a program to aid jobseekers by offering free interview outfits. This initiative comes as the unemployment rate has reached 5.2%, the highest in nearly five years, affecting nearly two million people in the workforce. EasyJet is transforming thousands of old crew uniforms into professional attire for individuals struggling to find employment.
The airline is collaborating with NOAH Enterprise, a charity based in Luton, to distribute the repurposed clothing. This follows a previous successful rollout where easyJet provided similar outfits to school children in 2025 through Level Trust. The initiative aims to supply jobseekers with various professional clothing options, including trousers, shirts, jumpers, blazers, and coats, addressing the critical need for appropriate workwear that hinders many from securing jobs.
Research indicates that the absence of suitable interview attire is a significant barrier for many jobseekers. Despite a notable number of available vacancies in the UK, a substantial gap in employment persists, primarily due to such obstacles. EasyJet's program not only assists individuals in their job search but also contributes to broader efforts to tackle rising unemployment and support local communities during challenging economic times.
