Telia's negotiations are over – 168 laid off
Telia has concluded its restructuring negotiations in Finland, resulting in the layoff of 168 positions.
Telia has announced the conclusion of its restructuring negotiations which commenced in January, resulting in the termination of 168 positions within its Finnish operations. The negotiations impacted a total of approximately 2,000 positions. Ultimately, there will be a net reduction of 168 positions, as 251 jobs will be eliminated while 83 new positions are introduced. These changes are set to take effect in March.
The restructuring is a part of Telia's strategy to streamline its organization and enhance its growth prospects in Finland. The firm aims to focus on improving customer experiences and the retail network, as well as the development, quality, and security solutions related to its mobile network.
