Videos show suspect and car of gang that stole a safe with R$ 1 million in jewels and diamonds from 'influencer jewelry store' in SP
Security cameras recorded a masked suspect and a car belonging to a gang that stole a safe containing about R$ 1 million in gold jewelry and diamonds from a jewelry store in São Paulo known for serving digital influencers.
Surveillance cameras captured footage of a masked suspect and a vehicle linked to a gang that executed a heist on a jewelry store in Moema, South Zone of São Paulo, where approximately R$ 1 million in gold and diamond jewelry was stolen. The robbery occurred in the early hours of Monday, October 16. Reports indicate that at least three individuals participated in this crime, and the footage is currently being reviewed by the Civil Police to identify the masked man, whose face was obscured during the incident.
In connection with the investigation, a woman was arrested on Wednesday, October 18, on suspicion of involvement in the heist, although authorities have not disclosed her name. Additionally, a doorman suspected of facilitating the thieves' entry into the store has also provided testimony at the 27th Police District in Campo Belo on the same day the woman's arrest took place. This indicates potential inside help in the planning and execution of the theft, raising concerns about security measures in businesses that cater to affluent clients.
Furthermore, three vehicles suspected of being used in the crime have been seized by police. The investigation seems to be progressing with a focus on gathering more evidence to apprehend the remaining suspects and recover the stolen items, highlighting the challenges law enforcement faces in dealing with high-stakes crimes, particularly in urban areas where such high-value thefts are becoming more common.
