Ramadan: Egyptian charity delivers aid during Islamic holy month
The Misr ElKheir charity in Egypt is preparing aid packages for impoverished families during Ramadan to help alleviate their struggles.
As Ramadan approaches, the Misr ElKheir charity foundation in Egypt is mobilizing its resources to prepare aid for residents in poverty. Volunteers are actively putting together food packages known as 'Ramadan boxes', which are tailored to meet the specific needs of families facing economic difficulties. This initiative is aimed at easing the financial burden that many families experience during the holy month of fasting and reflection.
Mariam Zaki, a dedicated volunteer, highlighted her commitment to the cause by sharing her experiences in packing the Ramadan boxes. She expressed a strong desire to contribute to this philanthropic effort, emphasizing that the contents of the boxes vary each year depending on the evolving needs of the recipients. The effort is not only about providing food but also about bringing joy and support to families who may otherwise struggle during this significant time of year in the Islamic calendar.
Hanan el-Derbashy, leader of the solidarity and debtors sector at Misr ElKheir Foundation, articulated the foundation's aspirations to expand its reach and impact during this Ramadan. She hopes that the charity's outreach this year will significantly contribute to feeding millions of needy individuals, fostering a sense of community and solidarity among the nation's population as they observe this sacred month together.
