Upon arriving at the Trauma Hospital in João Pessoa around 11:30 AM, despite the extensive resuscitation attempts, Daniel was declared dead later that evening. Reports reveal that the son of a firefighter and himself a civil firefighter, Daniel had initiated swimming at the condominium pool when he experienced a medical emergency.
