The vibrant atmosphere of Carnival has made its way into the corridors of the Regional Hospital of Baixo Amazonas Dr. Waldemar Penna (HRBA) in Santarém, Brazil. Patient Hozanildo Parente Braga, who is awaiting surgery, shared his joy about the initiative, noting that while he has enjoyed Carnival more in his youth, he appreciated the effort to bring happiness during his hospital stay.

This heartwarming initiative was spearheaded by medical students from the State University of Pará (Uepa), who are undergoing their surgical internship at the hospital. Armed with musical instruments and vibrant costumes, they visited patient rooms to spread joy and celebration.
