The Drama School's graduating class will perform the comedic play "Everything is Fine, Madam Minister" in Rakvere, highlighting the challenges of a minister caught in a scandal.
On February 20th, the Drama School's XXXII graduating class will present their graduation work, a comedy titled "Everything is Fine, Madam Minister," at the Rakvere Theatre. The play, written by Ray Cooney, revolves around Deputy Minister Rebecca Knox, who, instead of attending a parliamentary session, finds herself at a private meeting in a Westminster hotel with an opposition advisor. What initially appears to be a diplomatic encounter quickly spirals into chaos as unexpected situations arise.
In this comedic narrative, the minister, alongside her shy secretary Georgia, faces a series of escalating challenges including suspicious hotel staff and jealous spouses, all while trying to navigate the mess that their predicament creates. Their attempts to manage the situation lead to a flurry of misunderstandings and escalating tension, making for a compelling performance filled with comedic elements and clever dialogue.
The portrayal of these characters is brought to life by the talented students of the Drama School, marking a significant milestone in their education as they transition from students to budding professionals. Directed by Peeter Raudsepp, the play is not only an entertainment piece but also a testament to the skills and dedication of the graduates, setting the stage for their future careers in the performing arts.
