Colleague Awards Presented on the Birthday of Rakvere Theatre
Rakvere Theatre celebrated its 86th birthday with the announcement of colleague awards for achievements in theater production and performance.
On February 24, Rakvere Theatre marked its 86th anniversary with a traditional winter excursion for theater staff during which they announced the esteemed colleague awards for artistic achievements in the year 2025. The event highlights the theater's recognition of outstanding performances and contributions by its staff, promoting a sense of community in the arts.
In a celebration of talent, the award for Best Actress was given to Anneli Rahkema for her diverse roles in productions such as 'Lasteaed' (Kindergarten), 'Väikevend ja Karlsson katuselt' (The Little Brother and Karlsson on the Roof), and 'Sügissonaat' (Autumn Sonata). The title of Best Actor went to Johannes Richard Sepping, esteemed for his performances as Joseph Merrick in 'Elevantmees' (The Elephant Man) and in multiple roles in other productions, showcasing the depth of talent within the theater.
Other awards included Best Director, awarded to Urmas Vadi for his work on 'Lasteaed', and Best Set Designer to Pille Jänes for her artistic contributions to the same production. Additionally, the staff recognized various contributors to the theater's operations, honoring individuals for their roles behind the scenes, which further emphasizes the collaborative spirit that underpins the theater's success and growth.
