Ildar 'Scar' Galiyev is remanded for multiple serious violent crimes
Ildar Galiyev, arrested in Greece and extradited to Sweden, is facing serious charges including murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
Ildar 'Scar' Galiyev has been pursued by police and prosecutors for several years before being apprehended in Greece in the summer of 2024, where he was imprisoned for 20 months. Upon his extradition to Sweden, a remand hearing was held just a day later at Södertörn District Court, where he was charged with over 20 serious crimes, including conspiracy to commit murder, murder, and instigation of severe public destruction.
These charges encompass some of the most notable murders and bombings in Sweden over the last few years, including the notable house explosion in Hässelby in 2023 and a bombing in Fullerö that resulted in the death of a 24-year-old woman. Additionally, Galiyev is implicated in a shooting at Mälarhöjdens IP where an 18-year-old was killed, along with new charges of conspiracy to commit murder in Vällingby and preparation for murder in Nacka, both occurring in late 2023.
Galiyev, represented by two lawyers and appearing via link from custody, denies all the charges. His alleged connection to these violent acts has drawn significant media attention, indicating the severity of the situation and the potential implications for public safety and criminal justice in Sweden.
