The municipality of Vilnius announced on Wednesday that it will be sending significant aid to Kyiv to assist with the challenges posed by ongoing Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure. The support, amounting to 200,000 euros, includes the provision of generators, spare parts, and a mobile boiler. This initiative aligns with efforts to bolster the resilience of the Ukrainian energy sector and support the people affected by these dire circumstances.

Mayor Valdas Benkunskas emphasized the human aspect of this initiative, stating that the destruction of Ukraine's energy infrastructure affects the daily lives of its citizens, including students without heat in schools and families facing prolonged power outages during the coldest days.
