He fell again! Alleged 'Facebook Rat' is arrested after committing a crime with the same modus operandi
Ludwin Kevin 'N', an alleged criminal involved in vehicle fraud via social media, has been arrested again after attempting to scam a Facebook user using the same methods as before.
Ludwin Kevin 'N', a suspect linked to a criminal group known for committing fraud in vehicle purchases through social media, was recently detained after reoffending with the same technique. This arrest follows a prior detainment in January when he, along with accomplices, defrauded an individual in the colonia Ejército Constitucionalista, taking approximately 120,000 pesos and two mobile phones from the victim. Despite being released from custody, Ludwin was caught by police while attempting to scam another Facebook user on February 16.
The earlier incident that led to Ludwin's first arrest occurred on January 25, when a buyer fell victim to the scam after viewing a vehicle advertisement on social media. Police acted promptly after a report was filed, leading to the identification and apprehension of a 40-year-old man suspected of being involved in the crime. The authorities also discovered the suspect in possession of illicit substances at the time of his arrest.
This case highlights ongoing issues surrounding online scams and the challenge for law enforcement in dealing with repeat offenders who exploit social media platforms for criminal activity. The public is being urged to remain vigilant and cautious when engaging in online transactions to prevent falling victim to such frauds.
