'False Broker' Returns to Fraud Less than a Month After Being Released from Prison and is Arrested for the 3rd Time in Uberlândia

Alisson Henrique, known as the 'false broker', was arrested for the third time in connection with real estate fraud in Uberlândia after allegedly conducting another illegal property sale.

Alisson Henrique, a 30-year-old man commonly referred to as the 'false broker', was apprehended by the Civil Police in Uberlândia, Brazil, for allegedly perpetrating another fraudulent real estate scheme. Just weeks after his release from prison, where he served time for similar offenses, Henrique was reported to have defrauded a victim out of R$ 35,000 during a dubious property transaction. The police highlight that he has previously been arrested for fraud both in 2024 and 2025, accumulating over R$ 1 million in losses inflicted on his victims over these years.

The investigation began on March 9 after a victim reported that they had been misled into purchasing rights to a property. Upon realizing the potential scam, the victim sought police assistance, prompting an inquiry that ultimately pinpointed Henrique as the perpetrator. Authorities successfully executed a preventive arrest warrant for him in the Saraiva neighborhood on April 17, confirming his identity and prior criminal history connected to similar fraud cases.

The recidivism in Henrique's case raises concerns about the effectiveness of the legal system in preventing repeat offenders from engaging in continued criminal activities. As Henrique's defense is being sought by media outlets, this situation showcases the ongoing issues of real estate scams in Brazil and the challenges faced by authorities in safeguarding consumers against such fraudulent practices.
