During the Carnival break, banking activities were halted on Monday and Tuesday, affecting various banking transactions. Notably, while traditional banking operations were suspended, the PIX instant payment system continued to function normally throughout the holiday period. Customers are encouraged to utilize digital banking channels, such as websites and mobile apps, for transfers and bill payments during the days when physical branches were closed.

The expectation is for banks to resume regular service hours by Thursday, post-Carnival. This transition back to regular operation is crucial for many individuals and businesses that may require immediate banking services after the holiday period.
