The Ottawa Redblacks have signed offensive linemen Gregor MacKellar and Martez Ivey to strengthen their roster.

In an effort to bolster their offensive line, the Ottawa Redblacks announced the signing of Canadian Gregor MacKellar and American Martez Ivey. Both players were recently free agents from the Canadian Football League (CFL) and were previously part of the Edmonton Elks last season. MacKellar, hailing from Timberlea, Nova Scotia, contributed significantly during the last season, participating in all 18 regular-season games, while Ivey has a solid track record with 67 games played since he started his career in 2021.

Gregor MacKellar stands at six-foot-four and weighs 331 pounds, showcasing a robust physique essential for the offensive line position. Throughout his CFL career, he has amassed experience by playing for both the Edmonton Elks and the Toronto Argonauts, where he earned Grey Cup titles in both 2022 and 2024. This experience will likely provide a valuable asset to the Redblacks as they look to improve their team performance for the upcoming season.

Martez Ivey, also six-foot-four but weighing in at 305 pounds, is another significant addition to the Redblacks' lineup. With four seasons of experience in the CFL, Ivey has demonstrated his capabilities by earning All-CFL West Division honors in 2024, indicating his high level of performance in the league. The integration of both MacKellar and Ivey into the Redblacks' line will be closely observed as the team prepares for the new challenges of the upcoming season, potentially enhancing their competitiveness in the league.
