A tragic incident occurred on the PR-323 highway in Doutor Camargo, Paraná, where a military police officer lost his life and another was seriously injured after their patrol car aquaplaned and overturned. The officers were part of the K9 operations team of the State Highway Police and were responding to potential incidents when the accident took place. The vehicle lost traction due to water accumulation on the roadway, leading to the catastrophic accident.

Emergency medical services responded swiftly to the scene, with one of the officers found ejected from the vehicle and submerged in water, exacerbating the severity of his injuries. Despite extensive medical intervention, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after being transported by helicopter to Santa Casa de Maringá.
