Blue Star Ferries in Mytilene – Two-Day Educational Initiative
Blue Star Ferries conducted a two-day educational initiative in Mytilene focusing on the prevention of cyberbullying and youth violence.
Blue Star Ferries, alongside a team of volunteer employees from Attica Group, recently held an initiative in Mytilene titled "Cyber Bullying & Youth Violence – Awareness and Prevention in the New Generation". This educational initiative took place on January 8 and 9, as part of Attica Group's Responsible and Sustainable Development program "Sailing Together", aiming to address the increasing incidents of youth violence as a significant social phenomenon affecting the mental health, school life, and overall development of children and teenagers. The event included a workshop at the 5th Gymnasium of Mytilene, where parents, educators, and school counselors received information from a specialized team of the Hellenic Police on the crucial role of families and schools in preventing and addressing incidents of online violence. This emphasizes the need for early intervention and the importance of community involvement in tackling these modern issues. The main seminar took place at the Rousellios Municipal Theater of Mytilene, highlighting the commitment of Blue Star Ferries and Attica Group to fostering meaningful dialogue on these pressing issues. This initiative is part of a broader effort to equip the younger generations with the necessary tools to face challenges related to bullying and violence in the digital age, ensuring a healthier environment for their growth and development.
