New poll: PiS is weakening, Confederation is gaining strength
A new poll indicates that if elections were held this weekend, the Civic Coalition would win decisively according to the respondents.
A recent survey shows a significant shift in Polish politics as the Civic Coalition, led by Donald Tusk, would win decisively if elections were held this weekend, garnering 32.5% support from respondents. This reflects a minor increase of 0.2 percentage points from the previous poll conducted in late January and early February, suggesting a steady rise in their popularity.
In stark contrast, the ruling Law and Justice party (PiS) is losing ground, now receiving only 22.7% support, which is nearly 10 points behind the Civic Coalition. This marks a decline of 0.8 percentage points from the previous survey, the largest drop among the parties included in the poll. The findings indicate potential challenges for PiS as it struggles to maintain its voter base in the face of rising opposition.
The Confederation party, led by Krzysztof Bosak and Sławomir Mentzen, is also gaining traction, now holding third place with 13% of the vote, an increase of 1.8 percentage points since the last poll. This growth for the Confederation could signify a shift in the political landscape of Poland, as voters appear to be exploring alternatives to the established parties, indicating a more fragmented political environment ahead of upcoming elections.
