A Clear Signal for PiS. Such a Scenario Nobody Expected
A new poll indicates that the Civic Coalition leads with 32.5% support, ahead of PiS at 22.7%, with significant implications for Polish politics.
A recent poll conducted by United Surveys for WP shows a surprising lead for the Civic Coalition (KO) over the ruling party, Law and Justice (PiS). The survey reveals that KO's support has risen to 32.5%, an increase of 0.2 percentage points since the last poll conducted in late January and early February. This marks the Civic Coalition's continued prominence in Polish politics under the leadership of Donald Tusk.
In contrast, Law and Justice, led by Jarosław Kaczyński, remains significantly behind with support at 22.7%. This figure represents a decline of 0.8 percentage points from the previous survey, indicating a potential shift in voter sentiment. The poll's findings suggest that the gap between the two leading parties is widening, creating a notable challenge for PiS as they navigate an increasingly competitive political landscape.
The poll also highlighted the rise of the Confederation party, which secured 13% support, an increase of 1.8 percentage points compared to earlier results. Additionally, the Polish Crown Confederation, led by Grzegorz Braun, reached nearly 10% support, marking the most significant gain among the surveyed parties. These shifts underscore the evolving dynamics within Polish parliamentary politics and may represent a critical juncture for upcoming elections.
