Police Sergeant Jefferson dos Santos Duca, aged 41, tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident in Várzea Grande, Brazil, when he lost control of his bike and crashed into the curb on Rua Presidente Arthur Bernardes. According to the Civil Police, the impact was severe, and he died at the scene of the accident. Emergency services arrived promptly but unfortunately could not save him.

The Batalhão de Rondas Ostensivas Tático Móvel (Rotam) unit to which Duca was assigned expressed deep sadness over his passing, highlighting his dedication to duty and the courage he displayed throughout his service. They stated that his legacy within the unit was marked by honor and a strong sense of camaraderie among his fellow officers. The police collected Duca's personal belongings, including his firearm, phone, and wallet, which will be handed over to his brother.
