Thessaloniki: The delivery of FlyOver is likely to be earlier

Construction of the FlyOver in Thessaloniki is expected to be completed by spring 2027, as confirmed by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Christos Dimas.

Christos Dimas, the Greek Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, announced that the construction of the FlyOver project in Thessaloniki is projected to be completed by the spring of 2027. During his visit to one of the construction sites, Dimas was accompanied by Deputy Minister Nikos Tagias and Secretary General Dimitris Anagnostopoulos. He described the FlyOver as one of the most innovative projects currently taking place in Greece, highlighting its potential significance not only locally but also on a national level.

Dimas indicated that the progress of the construction is visible to all who travel along the city's ring road, with work occurring day and night to keep to the ambitious schedule. He emphasized that construction is proceeding at a very satisfactory pace, and he expressed optimism that the thoroughfare will be open to traffic in the first few months of 2027, ahead of its initial deadline. The project aims to significantly improve traffic flow in Thessaloniki and enhance connectivity in the region, which has faced persistent transportation challenges.

The commitment shown by the government and the construction teams reflects a determination to address these issues and modernize the city's infrastructure. As the project progresses, it could be a key component in revitalizing local transport networks and boosting economic activities in Thessaloniki, indicating an investment in the city's future development.
