The five Metro stations in Kalamaria, Thessaloniki, are reported to be 'practically ready', with a target completion date set for before the summer of 2026, as stated by Deputy Minister of Transport, Nikos Tachiaos. Deputy Minister Tachiaos highlighted that this project is not just about the Metro stations, but also involves important safety measures, including the construction of Pontou Street, which has been closed for many years above the future Kalamaria stations. In addition to the Metro updates, it was announced that from Monday, normal operating hours for the Metro will resume, starting at 5:30 AM, contrasted with the temporary hours that were in place recently.
