Threat to blow up 28 schools in Ahmedabad and Vadodara, panic spread

On Monday, at least 28 schools in Ahmedabad and Vadodara received bomb threat emails, causing immediate panic among students and parents. Following the threats, local authorities ordered the evacuation of the campuses and launched a search operation to ensure the safety of the students. According to police officials, no suspicious items have been found during the extensive search efforts thus far.
District Education Officer Rohit Chaudhary confirmed that more than 15 schools in Ahmedabad received bomb threats and instructed all schools to inform nearby police stations and adhere to security protocols. The local police were swiftly mobilized to respond to these threats, showcasing a coordinated effort to maintain security in educational institutions and ensure the safety of students and staff amid rising concerns over potential security threats.
In Vadodara, Police Commissioner Narsimha Komar reported that 13 schools received similar bomb threat emails. The management of these schools promptly informed the police control room, prompting the immediate mobilization of local police, the Special Operations Group (SOG), the Crime Branch, and Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) personnel to conduct sanitization exercises. The incidents highlight an urgent need for vigilance and preventive measures in schools to safeguard against potential threats amid heightened fears of violence in educational spaces.
