"RADAROM'26": in the first week of the campaign – already 1 million euros for Ukraine's defense
In its first week, the "RADAROM!" campaign has raised over 1 million euros to support Ukraine's defense capabilities, with contributions from various individuals and businesses in Lithuania.
The "RADAROM!" campaign, aimed at strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities, has achieved significant support in just its first week, surpassing the 1 million euro mark by February 15. As of now, a total of 1,022,052 euros has been donated, reflecting a strong solidarity from the Lithuanian people and businesses towards Ukraine amidst ongoing conflict. The campaign focuses on providing solutions in areas where human capabilities are limited, including robotic defense systems, logistics, and medical evacuation systems, which enhance response times and reduce risk for military personnel.
The initiative has seen robust participation from multiple sectors, with notable contributions such as 100,000 euros from AB "Telia Lietuva," 50,000 euros from UAB "Eugesta," and 25,000 euros from UAB "Hnit-Baltic." Furthermore, around 60 organizations and businesses have joined the effort, showcasing a deep communal response to the need for support in Ukraine. Contributions can be made in various ways, including phone donations, online payments, and through PayPal, emphasizing accessibility for interested contributors.
The campaign is organized by a coalition of media and NGO partners, including LRT, "Stiprūs kartu," "Laisvės TV," and "Blue/Yellow," and is set to last until February 24. It also highlights the solidarity of Lithuanian society in supporting Ukraine, and special partners such as "Delfi" have initiatives to promote public safety and awareness. As the situation continues to evolve, the ongoing response from Lithuania is a testament to its commitment to assisting Ukraine during these challenging times.
