On February 15, a landslide occurred on the Nanegalito-San Miguel de los Bancos road at kilometer 44, located in the Metropolitan District of Quito, Ecuador. The ECU911 regional coordination reported that they received an alert at 12:56 PM from a local resident regarding the landslide. As a result, the authorities, including the National Police, were informed and coordinated with local agencies to address the issue promptly.

In response to the incident, machinery from the Pichincha Prefecture was dispatched to the site to assist with the cleanup efforts. This action is crucial in restoring safe passage on a road that serves as a vital connection between different areas within the province.
