Uberlândia increases exports by 11% and moves R$ 4.4 billion in 2025

In 2025, Uberlândia saw a significant increase in its export activities, achieving an impressive 11% growth and totaling R$ 4.4 billion (approximately US$ 857.4 million) in international sales. This growth is highlighted in a report by the Federation of Industries of the State of Minas Gerais (Fiemg), which emphasizes the importance of the Regional Vale do Paranaíba in facilitating these economic exchanges. Among the key markets for Uberlândia's exports, China stands out as the largest destination, accounting for 65.8% of total exports. Sales to China amounted to about R$ 2.9 billion, marking a remarkable 19.9% increase compared to the previous year. This underscores China's crucial role in Uberlândia's export strategy and highlights the growing reliance on the Asian market for local products. The report reveals that soybean meal was the most exported product, achieving a notable 25.2% growth from the previous year, culminating in R$ 3.4 billion in sales. Additionally, corn and tobacco followed behind, generating R$ 234.9 million and R$ 103.2 million, respectively. Besides China, other notable markets included Colombia and Vietnam, which also contributed significantly to Uberlândia’s export figures, indicating a diverse international trading relationship and the city's vital role in global agricultural trade.
