A tragic accident occurred on Sunday when a driver lost his life after his car was crushed by a truck loaded with soybeans in Goiás, Brazil. The incident transpired on BR-452 as the truck's driver attempted to overtake in a prohibited area. In a bid to prevent a head-on collision, the truck driver abruptly swerved back into his lane, lost control, and ultimately overturned on top of the smaller vehicle.

According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), though the driver of the passenger vehicle had pulled over to the roadside to protect himself, he was still struck by the toppled truck. The collision was devastating; the car was completely wrecked, and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the truck driver has not been released, but he was rescued and taken to the hospital.

The highway was closed in both directions to facilitate the recovery of the victim's body, to right the overturned truck, and to clean the roadway.
