Students die in motorcycle accident while returning from school in Ceará countryside

Three 14-year-old teenagers were involved in a motorcycle accident in Boa Viagem, Ceará, resulting in two fatalities and one injury.

In a tragic incident in Boa Viagem, located in the interior of Ceará, three teenagers returning from school experienced a serious motorcycle accident involving a car. The victims of the accident have been identified as Kaio Emanuel da Costa de Sousa and Felipe Santiago Silva, both of whom were 14 years old. Kaio was pronounced dead at the scene, while Felipe, despite efforts to save him, could not survive after arriving at the hospital. Meanwhile, the third teenager, Luis Felipe, is in hospital recovering from a fractured clavicle. The collision occurred on the CE-266 road when the motorcycle was hit by a car driven by a man heading to a wake in Boa Viagem.

The accident highlights growing concerns regarding the safety of young pedestrians and motorcyclists in Brazil, particularly in rural areas where traffic accidents are frequent.
