Public transportation in Mogi das Cruzes has special hours during carnival
Mogi das Cruzes will adjust its public transport schedule during carnival, with ticket prices set at R$ 5.30.
During the carnival holiday, Mogi das Cruzes will implement a special schedule for its public transportation system, as announced by the local Municipality. This change is designed to align the availability of buses with the reduced demand typically experienced during the carnival period. On Monday, February 16, the bus companies will operate on their Saturday schedules, while on Tuesday, February 17, they will follow a Sunday timetable. Regular services will resume on Ash Wednesday, February 18, when buses return to operating under normal weekday hours.
The Municipal Secretariat of Mobility and Traffic emphasized that these temporary alterations aim to strike a balance between the number of vehicles and the historically lower demand for public transportation during carnival. The local administration has also ensured that supervision teams will monitor the operations to uphold service quality and user satisfaction throughout the festive period. Passengers are encouraged to plan their travel in advance to adapt to the schedule changes that may affect their commuting plans.
At present, the cost for a bus ticket in Mogi das Cruzes stands at R$ 5.30. This fare adjustment is minimal but reflects the city's effort to manage transportation effectively during carnival, ensuring that residents are well-informed and can travel conveniently without unnecessary delays or complications amidst the holiday festivities.
